Gulf of Maine Chlorophyll Climatology images of the the surface ocean layer are presented here as 8-day and monthly climatologies (using data from the period 1997-present).   Concentrations are reported in milligrams per cubic meter. The color white represents either land or areas where no data were available (typically due to obstruction by cloud cover).  Please select the Product Type to retrieve a thumbnail listing of available images. Clicking on a thumbnail will display the image full size. This library is updated monthly.
